We are a registered charity (Business No: 783615800RR0001), and if you wish, you can give financial resources to us and receive a tax receipt at the end of the year (if you are in Canada) for doing so.
Practicalities
There are a few ways you can give financially:
- Send an Interac e-transfer to: abbeygiving@gmail.com
- Donate through Canada Helps (note: you'll receive a tax receipt directly from them)
Purpose
At present, we envision our expenses in the following ways:
- Leadership
- Pastoring: for the work (homily preparation, facilitating services, meetings, etc.) that our lead pastor does
- Children’s Time: for the work (preparing and leading Children’s Time) that our Children’s Faciliator does
- Administrative
- Rent: covering the cost of the physical space (the West End Resource Centre at 823 Ellice Avenue) where we meet and hold our services
- Practical things like our website, etc.
- Communal
- Celebrations (Easter Sunday, Christmas Eve, etc.)
- Varied outreach activities (hampers, contemplative gatherings, etc.)
