We’ve established our gathering schedule for the fall through Christmas. A few things to note about this new, special season:
Children’s Facilitator
We’ve hired a “Children’s Facilitator,” and are thrilled to welcome Ava, age 15 (!), to the role. Ava brings a wonderful perspective to the role, and we’re grateful for her enthusiasm, maturity, and dedication to our community.
A few times a month, with adult support and supervision, Ava will create a warm, welcoming space for children during our gatherings and lead them through play, reflection, scripture, and prayer before returning them to the main service. We’re excited to support Ava’s growing confidence and leadership through this role.
We have Children’s Time a few times a month, for an hour or so each time, and you’re welcome to view our schedule to see when it’s on.
Anniversary!
We’ll be celebrating our seventh anniversary as a community this October! If you’ve ever visited or been part of the Abbey before, we’d love to have you join. We’ll iron out details soon, but for now just know it’ll be a party (hopefully, a good one!).
LGBTQ+ Inclusion
As a community, we’ve been having meaningful conversations about LGBTQ+ inclusion, and we’ve planned three Sunday gatherings (we’re calling them “Community Meetings”) to intentionally continue this important conversation.
